Absolutely. . . . he will be the Cheshire cat!!!
March 10th, 2010 at 10:06 pm
Nah, he’ll be long gone by then!
March 10th, 2010 at 10:33 pm
Yes, and the voters will give him credit. After all, the stimulus worked, and the government saved capitalism once again. The only question is WHY?
March 10th, 2010 at 11:09 pm
Well, what are they waiting for?
March 10th, 2010 at 11:49 pm
When the “capitalists” flushed it down the toilet, did W take the blame?

He’ll do just as Bill Clinton did. It was the contract with America by the republican led congress that forced Clinton to balance the budget. Clinton however was smart enough to just roll with it.
March 11th, 2010 at 12:51 am
Cause they’ve been doing such a great job so far?
March 11th, 2010 at 1:05 am
Actually, the stimulus has helped. You don’t have any proof at all that it hasn’t. So why do you dare to speak?
Big corporations are what got us into this mess to begin with. Only a fool or, worse, a libertarian would look to the same idiots who made the mess to bring us out of it.
I’ve noticed that conservatives simply ignore anything in the real world that they don’t like, and then blame liberals for intentional ignorance. That’s what we call chutzpah.

He will certainly try, the question is whether or not the general public will once again be fooled into thinking that this man is capable of anything other than attempting to install failed socialist/marxist government control over our economy.
March 11th, 2010 at 2:49 am
Are you referring to the same capitalists that wrecked it? Perhaps you mean the ones that came to the government with their hands out for hundreds of billions of dollars in order to be saved from utter destruction. I don’t think that you have properly thought this question through.

When the republican capitolists that tire of NOT making huge profits put their money back in the game the economy will rise
BUT
as we all know
they want America crippled so they can get Republicans back in and continue the trend started under Bush
The TREND—–MAKING MILLIONAIRES INTO BILLIONAIRES while neglecting the average American
March 11th, 2010 at 3:00 am
Of course! He’s. . . . . . OBAMA. . . . . . and does no wrong. Something good happens, Obama. . . . something bad, Bush.
Oh yes, the great Obama! No downs, only ups! Skin in the game! Give back, do your part! The great Obama!
March 11th, 2010 at 3:34 am
Of course.
March 11th, 2010 at 3:49 am
This is a statement of opinion, not a real question, right-winger.
March 11th, 2010 at 4:22 am
Yes. That is in fact what Democrats SAID their plan is.
Actual implementation of nearly ALL of their programs is delayed long-enough for the economy to start it’s own rebound – for which they said they plan to take credit.
Next, they plan to let their programs kick-in KNOWING (Democrats say) this will cause an even WORSE collapse.
This crisis will be used as “proof” that we “need” an even bigger and more complete central takeover of business and industry since the “re-collapse” will be said to be because the earlier program wasn’t big enough.

Both the Bush and Obama administrations have given a great deal of taxpayer money to the capitalists to keep their businesses from going under. I wonder how you separate out what has been done by the government to save the financial markets, businesses and the economy in general from the efforts of these capitalists who seemed unable to help themselves last year.
March 11th, 2010 at 4:47 am
Well, if capitalist do, sure. why not? He’s like the hand that feeds the hens corn. . .
March 11th, 2010 at 5:05 am
No. If capitalists lift the country out we will be in yet another bubble.
March 11th, 2010 at 5:34 am
“Of course! Everything that happens to this country that doesn’t enrage the citizens, is all Obama! But of course anything bad, we just brought upon ourselves!”
You liberals are all morons. Try being educated, it really is helpful.
March 11th, 2010 at 6:14 am
The first step into lifting the economy out of the basement is rooting out all of the democrats and liberals from Washington!
As long as the government is trying to control us, we won’t get anywhere.

Are you joking mate ?
Wasn’t it the unbelievable greed and criminal actions of the capitalist bankers and investment specialists that got us into this recession ?
Wasn’t it their gambling in extremely high risk investments that was the root cause of the problem ?
At the same time they disguised these risks to their investors by deception, and spread these risks all over the world ?
Can’t you remember that just a year ago these bl**dy banks had to be bailed out with your money, and huge amounts of it, otherwise the whole system worldwide would have collapsed ?
And these same b*stards are still doing the very same sh*t and still trying to pay themselves huge bonuses with your money in the process ?
We didn’t bail them out so that they could continue their party, but that is exactly what is happening.
And at the same time they are trying to blackmail us by withholding funding to business ?
Business WILL lift us out of the recession ONLY when these bankers start lending again.
Until then we are at their mercy.
The best that can happen is link all bank bonuses to the percent of business lending compared to overall turnover.
(Or start handing out prison sentences).
Then you’ll see how fast the recession will end.
It is time to take the greed out of “capitalism”, which is still worldwide a dirty word.
