It is taxpayer money. Civil workers cant get fired from any particular company, becuase they work in a tax based institution.

THE GOVERNMENT NEED TO BE RUINED.

Hello, the salaries of civil service professionals are LOWER than the same positions in the private sector.

High skill civil servants are paid less than they would receive in the private sector and in return for working for less they have job security.

Public employees are usually unionized. Which means that they are in a much better position to demand high wages and benefits than non-unionized workers are.

And on top of that, elected politicians don’t like to deal with disruption of public services due to strikes and other types of job action.

Also, unionized workers often organize their vote to help elect pro-union politicians. And for this reason many politicians try to avoid any trouble with unionized public employees.

But the main reason is probably lack of competition in providing government services. If the government was subcontracting its work to private companies in a competitive fashion. Then companies competing for government contracts would’ve naturally tried to cut their costs and increase their efficiency. And unionized companies probably wouldn’t have been able to compete against non-unionized companies.

Without such competition, the government is basically run as a kind of a monopoly. Where the managers and the workers are in a strong position to demand far above average wages and benefits for themselves.
