in less than a week. Obama has been warning about the economy for some time. When are McCain supporters going to face the fact that the guy is out of touch?

The fundamentals are sound but the boobs running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Lehmans and AIG are a bunch of fat cats out for themselves and their top executives. They are being investigated for fraud. The fundamentals could be considered great, but if the people running the place are not being policed and they commit fraud and “stretch” their books then financial crisis ensues.

There were also plenty of private citizens going out and getting mortgages they knew they couldn’t afford and plenty of mortgage companies willing to give them the money. Plenty of blame to go around to them, but how do you blame McCain for that?

Let’s not forget that Obama is the TOP receiver of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac people. Let’s not forget that the top man at Fannie Mae was advising Obama on housing.

Fraud is the root of the problem and it pisses me off that I who pay my bills on time and do not live beyond my means have to bail out a company where the board of directors voted for $90 million pay and a fat bonus to the CEO and fat pay to the top execs to run the company into the ground.

We have to enforce the rules we already have and get appropriate regulation. McCain tried with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but the Democrats stopped him in 2006 when a lot of this trouble today COULD HAVE BEEN avoided.
