We are still going down so we must hit bottom before we can come back.
What I see with the Govt. bailing out everyone, GM next. This is going to cause extreme inflation where our money will be worth about half what it is now, and will show up as prices about double what they are now. .
Wages never follow prices, they take years to catch up, so the people that earn $100,000 a year will need to earn $200,000 to buy the same things. This will put you in the new tax bracket so they will raise your taxes so you can’t win. .
2009 is not going to be fun for anyone.
We are now getting a break on gasoline, but need to develop reserves at home, which Obama says he will not do. Hence we will remain slaves to the middle east oil.
Me, I live on a very small amount per month and drive an older car, and will survive. Minimum lifestyles and buy used things is the future lifestyle. The Lord takes care of me and blesses me so if I get a serious illness I will just go to heaven as I can not afford large medical bills. In Heaven my bills are all paid in full by Jesus.

Probably a long but slow sinking. There are WAY too many optimists that keep thinking that we’ve hit bottom, so that tends to make our fall to the bottom more slow. I think that the economy should bottom out some time near the beginning of 2010. So the recession will last all of 2009 and into 2010.
But Canada won’t have any recession, we seem to be immune to that sort of stuff. I’m just talking about the rest of the world here.
